At its September 2013 session, the Judicial Conference approved the following changes to the federal court miscellaneous fee schedules effective December 1, 2013:
 
1) Increased the Notice of Appeals filing fee from $455 to $505.
2) Increased the records retrieval fee from $53.00 to $64.00 for the first box requested from a Federal Records Center and created a new fee of $39.00 for each additional box requested.
3) Amended the fee language relating to checks returned for insufficient funds to state, "any payment returned or denied for insufficient funds."  The $53 fee did not change.
